Kerri Milton, the Executive Director of the Downtown Penticton Association, is the next profile for Penticton Top 40 Under 40.  Milton moved to Penticton in 2004 and since that time has made a significant impact in the community.   Milton is charitable having been involved in a number of community organizations  such as South Okanagan Women in Need Society,  South Okanagan Montessori School Society, and Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly to name a few.

Milton’s impact on the community doesn’t stop there, she has been instrumental in The Benjamin Moore “Main Street Matters” campaign.

kerriKerri was one of the driving forces behind the new Landmark Cinemas 7 during her time of employment with the Penmar Cinema Centre.  Milton has the distinction of being the only Canadian that has been awarded the top marketing award from the National Association of Theatre Owners at Cinemacon in Las Vegas.

JCI Penticton had the opportunity to asked Kerri some questions about herself;

JCI Penticton- What motivates you?

Kerri Milton-I love what I do for a living and being part of a community is really important to me.  I want to be a good mentor for my children.

JCI Penticton- Can you explain your career goals?

Kerri Milton– Love business and enjoy the constant variety and challenges it brings.  My goal is always to be successful in whatever I do and bring 100%.

JCI Penticton- What have been your biggest influences?

Kerri Milton-Biggest influences are my family – they are constantly pushing and challenging me.

JCI Penticton- What was your first job?

Kerri Milton-Working in a Bakery and Deli in Port Coquitlam B.C.

JCI Penticton- What advice would you give to a younger you?  

Kerri Milton-To be open to change!  In our world everything moves and changes so quickly, you have to be open and willing to change all the time.
