Penticton Top 40 Under 40 November 13th – Jason Reynen

Penticton Top 40 Under 40“Penticton Top 40 under 40 is presented by Prospera Credit Union in partnership with the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce and JCI Penticton, with support from the Canadian Youth Business Foundation

Running two successful businesses wasn’t quite enough for this week’s candidate.  Jason Reynen, one of the owners of Penticton’s Minute Muffler, the owner and air-brush artist of Inspyred Customs embarked on a third business venture in 2013.

Having been an athlete for most of his life, from basketball, track and field, volleyball, triathlon and cross-fit training, Jason was inspired to open Beach City CrossFit operating out of the Penticton Racquetball Club where his goal is “to offer a premium personalized CrossFit experience to all the Beach City CrossFit members by constantly building his training techniques in the safest and most effective manner.”

Jason started this new business venture due to his desire to help others get into shape.  One of Jason’s proudest achievements is helping a close friend lose 50lbs, quit smoking and really transform their life.

At only 29, Jason’s business accomplishments are impressive, but he still finds time to participate and support local community events.  He has volunteered for Ironman, the Elvis festival, sponsored the Mr. Muscle, Ms. Bikini contest and organized the recent Clint Schoening Memorial Fundraiser to raise money for the wife and two boys of a dear friend.

It is this spirit of community and civic mindedness that Jason feels particularly proud of Penticton for having.  A resident of Penticton since age 2, Jason has strong ties here and is dedicated to finding new and innovative ways for the community to grow stronger.

When asked to provide words of encouragement to young entrepreneurs, Jason has this to offer:  “When you are truly passionate about something, it is worth the risk.”

His friends describe him as “driven” as Jason derives great satisfaction from constantly setting higher goals for himself and working tenaciously toward achieving them.
